INQUIRY

Sometimes I question myself not
because I doubt myself
More so because I am in disbelief that
I have the power within myself to
Be myself
Sometimes I question myself
I question the toughness of my skin the
tenderness of my heart and the
tightness of my mind
I question this journey ahead of me and the
mission that has
brought me to this moment with
newfound space with
infinite meaning
Sometimes I question the capacity of my lungs to
breathe in this life
Sometimes I question the waters that
make up the majority of my mass
Sometimes I question the fire in my phoenix
rising from the ashes and dust
Sometimes I question my ability to stay grounded as the
Universe pulls me back into itself
Only     to         release            me                   whole.
