Performance of The Weeping City by Maine Inside Out and a poetic offering from Signature Soul along with calls to action from Maine Youth Justice, Maine Prisoner Advocacy Coalition, Permanent Commission on the Status of Racial, Indigenous and Maine Tribal Populations, and the Portland Racial Equity Steering Committee.

Indigo Arts Alliance will be hosting a printmaking workshop as well as a sneak peek of the upcoming Beautiful Blackbird Children’s Book Festival. There will be active art making and community dialogue with IAA and local artists as well as a poetic offering from Signature Soul and local youth.
This annual celebration of Juneteenth is founded and organized by Athena Lynch and hosted by the Friends of Congress Square Park. These events are free and open to the public. See you this weekend!
